There is There are-Grammar Fun
Once I have used paper bags in my teaching as a teaching resource to make fun of grammar, I opted this idea once again in the past two weeks. And it is really useful especially in the service of grammar. This lesson I taught on the use of there is and there are. Students already know the singular and plural form of nouns and had no difficulty in filling the bags with nouns. But isn't it more fun when you can see these bags hanging on the classroom wall to serve you as constant reminder of what you have learned.

BOOKMARKING with Disney's monsters
I can not possibly get enough from this cuteness happening on Disney's websites and obviously my students too. This time my older students as they having the auxiliary verb "have got" in scope, created the ID cards on paper and some additional activities so they can practice the verb have got in all its forms. In the introductory lesson part students had the assignment spot the differences between these two pictures with lots of monsters. In this way we practiced There is/There are statements and sentences. Immediately I gave each student a printed copy of an ID card with a left frame space to draw imagined monster and describe in class forming has got/hasn't got sentences. They was lots of fun going here. At the end they did some extra craft work, namely made bookmarks from Monsters University template. Take a look down here. :)

GUESS THE TOY
Last Thursday we had a lesson on toys vocabulary. Students brought their favorite toys from home. I like their toys. At first every student described the toy. Then I put them in a big box and have them closed. I made a hole into it large enough for students to put their hands into. The aim of the activity was to guess the toy through the touch of their hand. Another great activity they loved so much.
